It did help a little, but it took a few back and forth messages before anything really started moving. The final response was fair enough, so no big complaint there, just slower than I was expecting tbh.

Not gonna lie, I found someone on Angi for a small repair job and the workmanship ended up being better than I expected. The edges were clean, they showed up on time, and they didn’t leave a mess behind. I’m happy with how it turned out

The reviews looked like they were from actual people, not just generic five-star stuff, and the contact info/details seemed to check out before I even called anyone. I ended up hiring a guy for some drywall work in the hallway, right near the spot my dog always bumps into with his tail, and he showed up when he said he would, gave me a fair price, and did clean work. Nothing dramatic, just solid. It was nice feeling like the vetting actually meant something for once.

They were late to one appointment, which was frustrating. I was going to be annoyed, but, well, they did reschedule without any hassle, so it ended up being okay.
